GreenLight is part of the consortium offering four-year technical assistance to Electricidade de Mocambique (EDM), Mozambique Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy (MIREME), and The Energy Regulator (ARENE) to develop the framework and implement a concession auction mechanism for renewable energy projects. The PROLER program will assure transparency, planning, competitiveness, and de-risking for renewable energy investments in Mozambique. The program intends to launch four large scale projects during the technical assistance period. Three sites dedicated to solar and one site for wind. The program is funded by the European Union through the French Development Agency.
