The project had as an objective the development of a baseline study for the GIZ Energy for Development program (ENDEV) in Maputo, Manica, and Cabo Delgado Provinces. Electronic tablets were used for data collection in the field. The Crystal Surveys Data management and analysis software was used.

The following activities were carried out by GreenLight:
Methodological design and planning;
Sample plan and sample selection;
Obtaining the licenses and permissions to carry out the study;
Recruitment of enumerators and supervisors;
Enumerator training;
Data entry sheet design using Crystal Surveys Software; Survey execution at the household level and quality control;
Data analysis using Crystal Surveys Software; Report draft and finalization. Over 3500 households were surveyed,
